Sit - Walk - Stand

  • Ephesians 1:20 – reveals Jesus throne seated at the right hand of the Father
  • Ephesians 2:6 – reveals that we have been raised up with Him and He has seated us with Him in the heavenly places.
  • Ephesians 2:10; 4:1, 17; 5:2, 8, 15 – exhort us to walk in a manner worthy of our calling in Christ

  1. 2:10 – Walk in the good works we were prepared for.
  2. 4:1 – Walk in a many worthy of our calling.
  3. 4:17 – Walk no longer like an unbeliever.
  4. 5:2 – Walk in love, just as Christ loved you.
  5. 5:8 – Walk as children of the light.
  6. 5:15 – Walk as wise men, not as unwise.
  7. 6:10-20 – Walk in the Spirit!

How can we 'Walk With God‘?

  • In light of "Whose" we are & who we are in Christ, we have the ability to walk accordingly.
  • Ephesians 5
    • Challenges to be imitators of God as we are His beloved children.
    • Exhorts us to walk in love, a sacrificial walk like Jesus.
    • Cautions us against immorality or impurity or greed
    • Warns us not to "let" or allow this in our lives.
    • Warns us of the danger of opposing God
    • Reminds us of who we are, children of light.
    • Exhorts us not to waste our life on these deceptions.
    • Out of respect for Christ, be courteously reverent to one another.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
