Wages = Greek <misthos> earned income
- Luke 6:23; Matthew 20:8 “Call the laborers & give them their wages.”
- I Timothy 5:18 “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
- Not charity but something earned!
- The work of a believer is to believe!
- John 6:29 “Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
- Luke 14:14; Luke 10:35 - Good Samaritan
- Mark 9:41 “For whoever give you a cup of water in My name … will by no means lose his reward (repayment).”
